Why I chose Email Marketing as my go to tonic?
TL;DR - This is my first ever post written purely as a reminder to myself to stop overthinking about starting a blog - and just barging in with an awkward yet heartfelt post.
Usually people start their blogging journey with a post that’s useful to people - and definitely not with something that reeks of ‘self obsession’.
Well, this post is for me. For me to go back to, every time I need an answer to Why am I doing this? So, if you’re not into this, I understand. But before you go, leave with a thought:
What’s the first thing that comes to your mind when you think of instances where one person captivated the crowd so well, you wanted to do it too?
For me, it was this video - where Freddie Mercury made thousands of people sing what he wanted, when he wanted, and how he wanted.
Well, I can’t sing quite as well as this legend. But, what I can do (or rather try to do) is have a command over my own set of audiences and use Email Marketing as a tool/way to do so.
Queen’s single roar is followed by a thousand roars; can in some scale or the other, be compared to a single email that eventually builds up email lists, bring in new customers, leads to conversions and a lot more.
Most of us if not all of us, want to be the center of attraction. We know that it comes with a certain power and we love it. Freddie exercised his power when he got the people to sing to his tunes.
For me, that power comes from Email Marketing. Power to change someone’s life. Be it business, or a consumer.
Going to a concert costs a good chunk of money; higher the ticket price = closer you are to the actual experience of the concert.
But while that hurts your pockets, these concerts have healed people. Changed lives. Added a key event in their memory - something these people are going to remember for the rest of their lives.
This magic is what I intend to create with Email Marketing…
This subject isn’t that new for me, to be honest. For ~2 years, I’ve drafted emails, Edited, A/B Tested, conceptualized users journeys and what not on a daily basis; so much so that all this seems to be of second nature by now.
And while all these took hours if not days worth of efforts, it led to that one single unit of satisfaction - happiness.
Now, coming to the main point - What is this blog going to be about?
I’ll keep this sweet and short - I’m yet to figure this out.
I’ve spend good years of my life pondering over this question and not enough trying to figure it out. All I know is that I’ll try to be very open with this. No hidden agendas. Since most of you reading this are either business owners or email marketing enthusiasts, I can’t deceive you even if I wanted to.
I’m here to write about Email Marketing.
All that I’ve learned. All that I am going to learn in this process.
I do hope to get to work with some of you fine business owners - helping you scale your businesses through effective Email Marketing.
But that comes later. For now, this post that I’ve written in about 30 minutes in a single stretch is all I am, is all I have.
Thank you if you did read this all the way to this point. Feel free to subscribe… or not. All’s good.

Note to self -
Dear Kartik,
You’ve started. Don’t give yourself a vague reason as to why you shouldn’t continue. You’re better than your current self.
